Our next meeting is Nov. 19, from 9:45 to 10:30am. We will work on projects for Holiday Baskets (Nov. 22) and Angel Tree party (Dec16). Deadline for food donations for the 20 Thanksgiving baskets is Nov. 19. Items needed: boxes of cornbread mix, green beans, cream of mushroom, fried onions, cranberry sauce, stuffing, gravy, boxed potatoes, and turkeys. Deadline for Angel Tree gifts ($25 max value) and donations is Dec. 10. Volunteers still needed to bake sugar cookies and help with the party on Dec 16. DECORATE THE CHURCH DAY: Sunday, Nov. 26, starting at 12:30pm, is Decorate the Church for Christmas day. All hands on deck after church to get our 3 Christmas trees up & decorated before the Advent season.


JAM TIME: Our Sunday School Children will assist Social Ministry as they prepare for the Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets to be donated this season. The children are invited to bring food items to the Kids Kingdom each week during JAM Time. Also, the children are encouraged to bring an offering to be collected during JAM Time.  Our love gifts will be placed in a restricted account designated for use by our Pastors to meet emergency needs for those in our congregation and our community.

SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP DRIVE – an outreach opportunity to send a needy child to Hope School to learn about Jesus. Please use the designated envelope or you can enroll in Simply Giving. Envelopes and Simply Giving forms are available in the lobby. Gifts will be used specifically for scholarships. Checks payable to Hope Lutheran School with a note: “For Scholarship”.


The youth group plans to help the Food Pantry with the distribution of Thanksgiving Baskets on Wednesday, Nov. 22, from 6 to 7pm. Please encourage your youth to be here. We will have Youth Oasis from 7 to 8pm.

YOUTH OASIS is at 6:30pm on Wednesdays. Come for an evening of games, hangout, discussion and fellowship. All youth are welcome. 


ADULT SUNDAY CLASS THIS FALL: CELEBRATING THE 500TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE REFORMATION: This 9:45am Sunday morning class will be led by Pastor Mark Nieting and Gerald Brown on the kitchen side of the fellowship hall.

YOUNG COUPLES BIBLE STUDY at 9:45am on Sundays. Join us up in The Loft for fellowship and growth in our faith walks together as we study Solomon’s Song of Songs. If you have any questions, please contact Sarah and Shawn White:

LWML (LUTHERAN WOMEN’S MISSIONARY LEAGUE) Ladies 18 & up are invited to the next meeting on Jan. 20 at 9:30am. Join us for a light breakfast and some great fellowship. LWML has prayer shawls and chemo patient gift bags. If you know of someone who may need one, see Desiree Davis or Marie Nelson. LWML MITES go to support our missions. Mite boxes are available in the narthex.

LWML BAKE & CRAFT SALE is Sunday, Nov. 19, after each service. Proceeds will go to LWML projects.

7th ANNUAL WOMEN’S ADVENT TEA (Sponsored by LWML) is Saturday, Dec. 2, from 2 to 4pm in the fellowship hall. Enjoy singing, Bible readings, fellowship, cookies, tea sandwiches, coffee and tea as we prepare our hearts for Advent. Bring 2-3 dozen homemade cookies (plated) to share. Bring a friend. Fee: $5 (check payable to LMWL). Sign-up in the narthex.

WEDNESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY is 10:30am in Main 1. This group does not meet the last Wednesday of each month.

KNIGHTS OF HOPE: Devotional group of men, ages 18 & older, who gather the second Saturday each month at 8am for breakfast and to discuss the Bible and how to implement its teachings into their lives. They also participate in fun guy-centered activities, mission trips, as well as assist in different projects around the church. Notifications are sent out via email.
