It was a beautiful fall day Monday, Oct. 17, when the Leisure Lutherans buzzed on over to the Honey Bee Golf Course Restaurant to celebrate Octoberfest! The setting was perfect, overlooking the golf course and the scents of fall were in the air. The scent of brats set the scene for a true Octoberfest. Also on the menu were other favorites, sauerkraut, German potato salad and the beverage of the day was enjoyed by many. We were entertained by several folks who lifted their glasses singing (quite nicely) a German toast.
Our November luncheon, scheduled for Nov. 21, at 11:30am, will be a real taste of Americana; specifically southern Americana! Join us for more fall fun at Bubba’s Deli Bar and Bar-b-que located at the Farmer’s Market (3600 Dam Neck Rd, Virginia Beach). Enjoy lunch and then browse the Countryside Shops!
We will order off the menu so the choice is yours. There will be a sign-up in the narthex soon. Be sure to let us know you will be there. And don’t forget to bring a food item for Hope’s Food Pantry. Hope to see ya’ll there!
