Imagine this happening at your workplace. It’s payday, and of course you are expecting your paycheck. But the boss is out sick or on vacation, so he simply doesn’t get any checks written, signed, or delivered. “You can wait until next month.” he says. But a month later your next check doesn’t include the one where the boss was gone. Could YOU live like that?
Far too many people expect the church to live like that. When they miss church for a Sunday or two (or more), they also miss their offering. I suppose they think that the church doesn’t have any bills to pay that month! Remember: when we join a church, we undertake the financial obligations that are necessary.
Please consider signing up for SIMPLY GIVING. It’s easy to sign up, easy to change if needed, and you never have to write another check. Forms are located on the low table in the narthex. Simply fill out the form, attach a canceled check, indicate how much and how often (quarterly, monthly, bi-weekly, etc) and turn it in to the office. There is NO fee to you. It’s a proven fact: the more SIMPLY GIVING participants a church has, the healthier the church is financially!
