Hope offers 3 different worship opportunities every week:

Our 8:15 am Sunday Worship comes straight from the Lutheran Service Book. The service features chanting, hymnody, and other liturgical elements. We use the Divine Services and Matins Services.  This service is ideal for those looking for the traditional Lutheran worship experience.

Our 11:00am Sunday Worship is our modern worship service. It features today’s praise and worship music and a plain-speech style.  This serviceis ideal for those looking for a blended or contemporary worship experience.

The 6:30pm Wednesday Worship is our Oasis service. This is a low-key, relaxed, and intimate time of worship that prominently features prayer and meditation on scripture.  This service is ideal for those who are looking for a less typical “church” experience, or for those who can’t make it to church on Sunday mornings. (Next Oasis is Sept. 13, 2017)

  • For parents with small children, nursery services are available during both worship services, Sunday School, and Wednesday night activities.
  • For more information, please contact Kathryn Wacker in the church office at (757) 424-4848 or assist@hopevabeach.org

There are three important sacraments that we believe in: confession, baptism and communion. At every worship service, we publicly acknowledge our sins before God and receive His forgiveness for our repentance. The Lord’s Supper (Holy Communion) is offered at each Sunday service twice per month, and weekly on Wednesday nights. For those interested in baptism, please email the church office.
